Privacy for Mancala

Mancala lets you play without creating an account. Only the storage this browser game actually uses is described here.

On this device

Mancala records the local scoreboard in this browser and, for an unfinished local game, the seed counts. It can also record the difficulty selected for the computer. The scoreboard skips online matches. One undone computer game can lose that finished result from the list. Those records disappear from the browser when this site's stored data is cleared.

Reload support for an online match depends on an anonymous token kept in this browser. Clearing site data takes the token off the device. It does not remove the server's row. Nobody else should receive that token.

On the game server

Supabase keeps a nameless player record for matchmaking, plus who is queued, which seats are taken, the pit counts, and the moves that line the two browsers up. The player record expires after thirty days. Ten minutes with no move ends an active game. Polling does not prolong those ten minutes. A finished match row is not deleted automatically.

Players looking for a Mancala opponent share the public queue. The link you might send is not a private table, and it does not pair you with the person who passed it along. Around ten seconds of an empty queue makes this page stop waiting and play the computer locally.

Hosting and fonts

Static pages come from Vercel, the match server is Supabase, and Adobe Fonts loads the type. Ordinary connection details, such as an IP address, can be visible to those services during delivery of a page, a match, or a font.

Advertising

A Google ad script is not loaded by these Mancala pages, and this change does not add an ad unit. Neither a publisher verification tag, nor an ads.txt file, nor an empty box labeled as an advertisement asks for an ad by itself. Once Google advertising is turned on, if that happens later, Google and its partners may use third-party cookies or similar identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Further detail sits on how Google uses advertising cookies and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Questions

The address for questions is warmeve.label@gmail.com. Identify Mancala and the site, and do not include the online token or any password. Phone numbers and street addresses are outside what this privacy page lists. The contact page has no upload for a message.
